SUMMARY:Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument Kayak Tours
DESCRIPTION:Join Bureau of Land Management Rangers as they guide free kayaking tours on Hyatt Lake in the heart of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.\n\n\nWe will meet at 8:00 AM at the CVS (formerly Rite Aid) in Ashland and make our way into the Monument from there. Carpooling is optional. \nJoin Bureau of Land Management Rangers as they guide free kayaking tours on Hyatt Lake in the heart of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. The tours will take place from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on May 31 and June 7. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in kayaking and exploring the unique ecology of Hyatt Lake\, as well as its importance to local communities. Each tour allows for 10 participants with no prior kayaking experience necessary\, and you won’t need to bring any special equipment—just sun protection and clothes that you don’t mind getting wet! Participants must be aged 12 and up. Don’t miss out on this chance to enjoy the beauty of nature while learning something new! DESCRIPTION:Join Summer Interpretive Ranger\, Allie\, as she leads us on a guided hike to Lost Creek Falls.\n\n\nWe will meet at 9am at the CVS (formerly Rite Aid) in Ashland located at 2341 Ashland Street\, and make our way into the Monument from there. Please bring water\, snacks and a lunch. Hiking boots are recommended; your shoes are likely to get a bit wet. Carpooling is optional but recommended. \nThe hike is two easy miles. The road is gravel but doesn’t require a high clearance vehicle. \nThe Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument’s mission is to support the protection\, restoration and conservation of the Monument through service\, advocacy and education.
