The group will return around 1:00 PM. Please remember to bring water\, snacks\, sturdy shoes you can hike in\, and layers. \nThe Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument’s mission is to support the protection\, restoration and conservation of the Monument through service\, advocacy and education.

Free and open to the public\, food provided.\n\n\nJoin the Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument for a Memorial Day weekend picnic on Sunday\, May 24th!  \nWe will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Friends organization with food\, games\, and kayak tours. This will be a family friendly event with activities for kids and adults.  \nFood is free and will include barbequed hamburgers and hotdogs. Vegetarian\, vegan\, and gluten free options will be provided.  \nFriends’ interpretive rangers will provide several hour-long kayak tours on Hyatt Lake.

DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument ranger for a beginner-friendly hike on the Pacific Crest Trail near Hobart Bluff.\n\n\nJoin Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument interpretive ranger\, Allie\, for a guided hike on the Pacific Crest Trail near Hobart Bluff. Learn hiking techniques\, different types of gear\, natural history of the monument\, and how to leave no trace in public lands.  \nThis hike is for all levels but we will be going slow. It will be about 4 miles total out and back but guests will have many opportunities to go back throughout the hike.  \nMeet at CVS in Ashland at 9:00 AM. The group will return around 1:00 PM.
