Artist Talk – Plein Air Art with Sarah Burns

Join artist, Sarah Burns, for an informative and inspirational talk on plein air art techniques.

Join artist Sarah Burns for an informative and inspiring slide talk on plein air painting techniques. Sarah will share reflections on her recent time in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument as part of FCSNM’s Cascade-Siskiyou Creations: Arts and Advocacy program. The talk can be attended on its own, but if you plan to join the Saturday workshop it is highly recommended.

The Friday Hike and Learn sessions will take place in the Ashland Food Co-op Community Classroom at 300 N. Pioneer in Ashland from 6:00 to 7:30pm. The classroom is one block toward downtown from the grocery store on N 1st Street. This Eventbrite is for the Friday Talk ONLY, register for Saturday workshop HERE. Attendance to Friday Night Talks is limited to 40 people.

Sarah F. Burns is a classically trained artist who makes observation-based oil paintings inspired by science, nature, personal history, art history. With over two decades of experience, Sarah helps art students of all ages and media engage with classical art principles in a rigorous and fun way. Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is a nonprofit organization and our mission is to support the protection, restoration and conservation of the monument through service, advocacy and education. Our Hike and Learn programs are designed to introduce the public to different topics and locations within the Monument. Hike and Learns are co-created with local scientists, historians, artists, students, and more.
