Plein Air Sketching Workshop with Sarah Burns

We will meet at 9:00 AM at the CVS (formerly Rite Aid) in Ashland and make our way into the Monument from there.
Sarah will lead a group of artists on a sketching adventure in the Monument. Use your favorite materials, it can be as simple as a pencil or you can bring your favorite paints. Registrants will receive a suggested materials list.
If you are attending the workshop, please also plan on attending Sarah’s talk on Friday night which will provide an introduction to plein air art techniques.
Sarah F. Burns is a classically trained artist who makes observation-based oil paintings inspired by science, nature, personal history, art history. With over two decades of experience, Sarah helps art students of all ages and media engage with classical art principles in a rigorous and fun way.
